Our Engineering Division has been improving its production equipment, installing additional equipment, and designing processes to manufacture new products and modifying processes for quality improvement.

IKUTA’s thoroughgoing support attracts us.
We once consulted with IKUTA about preventive measures for scratch damage to winding equipment.
We had a strong demand for crack preventive measures in those days.
When we consulted, IKUTA’s engineers in charge thoroughly discussed with our engineers from the stage of deciding on specifications.
As a result, winding equipment that resists scratch damage was realized according to our request.

Furthermore, the equipment has a reliable mechanical design with sturdy frame and bearings.
When we consulted with IKUTA’s engineers about quality improvement in the surfaces of materials after milling, they gave us a good piece of advice, and we were able to improve conventional equipment into better equipment with only internal parts replaced with modified ones to manufacture products meeting the demand of the times.
The conventional equipment was under ON/OFF control with a motor. Then we replaced the motor with a servomotor with partial modification so that the equipment would be under delicate control.

It has passed more than 30 years since this milling equipment was introduced. This equipment, however, still maintains high-precision performance and rigidity to comply with the demand of the times.
We can rely on IKUTA because IKUTA gives us kind maintenance support to equipment that has been used for many years.
We can see the attitude of IKUTA, a company that wants to have their equipment used for a long time with proper maintenance provided.
Usually, manufacturers are unwilling to do such work, because it does not pay well.

We discuss frankly with IKUTA’s engineers from the early stage of designing.
We exchange opinions as manufacturer and user, and advance the production of equipment. That is why the equipment completed is of good quality.
There is a strong trust relationship between IKUTA and DOWA for information sharing with a clear division of roles.
One of IKUTA’s features is that it has unique technology that other manufacturers cannot imitate.

IKUTA almost monopolizes the sales share of milling equipment and winding equipment.
Other manufacturers may be able to make the same equipment, but there is a clear difference between IKUTA and other manufacturers.
Moreover, IKUTA is a real user-oriented company that flexibly complies with a variety of requests. No matter how tough the requests are, IKUTA never gives up.

Presently, the use of electric and electronic parts is making progress in the automobile industry, and there is an increasing demand for copper bars in Japan.

We are asking IKUTA to assist us at each production stage for the installation of new production equipment besides the production of winding equipment, shearing equipment, and conveyance equipment.

We would like to continue our relationship for further developments while hoping that IKUTA will improve its capability with consideration of overseas production in cooperation with IKUTA SUZHOU MECHANICAL ENGINEERING CO., LTD. as a subsidiary to IKUTA for better quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) conditions.
