IKUTA SANKI KOGYO is originated from Ikuta Iron Factory, which my grandfather Sutekichi Ikuta (1900 - 1974) established after he left his family in Togo, Fukui Prefecture, and came to Kyoto in his teens.
It has passed approximately 90 years since he established Ikuta Iron Factory in 1919, when he was 19 years old.
At the very beginning of the company, IKUTA manufactured a variety of scientific machines centering on brewing equipment. IKUTA started the production of copper elongation equipment in 1950. Since then, IKUTA has been a leading elongated copper manufacturer and delivering high-quality equipment to major elongated copper manufacturers in Japan and other countries. With IKUTA's ideas put into practical use on production sites, teamwork, and accumulation of time-proven techniques, IKUTA has been continuously producing reliable IKUTA brand products in response to expectations.
IKUTA opened the door to the world while Munehiro Ikuta (1930 - 1999) was IKUTA's president. Munehiro succeeded the post of presidency from Sutekichi Ikuta, the first president and founder of IKUTA. IKUTA accumulated records of accomplishment with deliveries to European and Asian elongated copper manufacturers, and came to get a steadfast evaluation in the copper elongation industry.

Use the means and God will give the blessing. This is IKUTA's corporate philosophy. This philosophy has been handed down from generation to generation since the foundation of IKUTA in the hope that each employee of IKUTA through their work will become aware of humans' missions and Heaven's will, live a better irreplaceable life, and achieve human growth and development.
I succeeded the post of presidency from Munehiro Ikuta, the second president of IKUTA, and I realize that the succession of this philosophy is the most important mission of mine.

For the last several years, IKUTA has been positively expanding its business in the entire field of metal process engineering as well as the field of copper elongation equipment. In 2002, IKUTA (SUZHOU) PRECISION EQUIPMENT CO., LTD. was established in Suzhou, China. In 2002, KUNSHAN IKUTA TRADING CO., LTD. was established. Furthermore, IKUTA GIKEN (SUZHOU) CO., LTD. will come to operation in 2008. IKUTA is advancing the development of engineering solution business in collaboration with these subsidiaries in order to respond to customers' requests promptly.
Besides, under the support of Kyoto Prefecture, IKUTA has started the development a compact vertical-axis aerogenerator as IKUTA's environment-associated business by utilizing its production capabilities.

It has passed 90 years since the foundation of IKUTA. We have been keeping in mind that a factory's success depends on the development of human resources.
