| 1919 | Sutekichi Ikuta established IKUTA IRON FACTORY. Started manufacturing scientific machines. Developed brewing equipment and filter press equipment, and contributed to the rationalization of brewing factories. |
| 1935 | Incorporated as KEIHAN KIKO CO., LTD., which was designated as a munitions factory for the production of oil transfer pumps. |
| 1945 | KEIHAN KIKO went into liquidation as a result of the end of the war. |
| 1950 | Started the production of copper elongation equipment. Developed copper flushing, grinding, and separating equipment and automated equipment with utility model patent rights for rolling machine tables. |
| 1953 | IKUTA SANKI KOGYO CO., LTD. was established. |
| 1955 | Developed and succeeded in the practical use of scalping equipment (brass milling equipment) under patent number 27-14473. Contributed to a dramatic improvement in the quality of Japanese-made copper elongation products. The scalping equipment served as an installation indispensable to a production process of copper elongation strips. |
| 1960 | Developed electric annealing equipment with utility model patent rights for brass rods. |
| 1961 | Constructed a new factory in the present location. |
| 1974 | Munehiro Ikuta inaugurated as President. |
| 1977 | Developed double-side scalping equipment (milling equipment). Contributed to a dramatic improvement in the quality of milling equipment. The first machine was delivered to HITACHI CABLE, LTD. All major copper elongation companies started adopting the double-side scalping equipment. |
| 1978 | Delivered double-side scalping equipment and automatic welding equipment to Poongsan Industrial Corp. as South Korea's major industrial company. These installations were IKUTA's first export. After that, Ikuta started exporting the machines to Hong Kong and Taiwanese elongated copper manufacturers in series. |
| 1982 | Completed the second-term factory expansion. |
| 1985 | Developed 1500-mm-wide large-sized double-side scalping equipment, which was delivered to SANPO SHINDO KOGYO CO., LTD. |
| 1986 | Delivered double-side scalping equipment to Iran's national copper elongation factory. |
| 1990 | Developed a thick-board strip slitter line, which was delivered to KOBE STEEL, LTD. |
| 1991 | Developed an alkaline degreasing and washing line, which was delivered to NIPPON MINING CO., LTD. Delivered 1500-mm-wide large-sized double-side scalping equipment to THE FURUKAWA ELECTRIC CO., LTD. |
| 1992 | Received business inquiries from European major copper elongation companies. Developed a business expansion in Europe. |
| 1994 | Delivered 1500-mm-wide large-sized double-side scalping equipment to KM Europa Matel Aktiengesellschaft of Germany. |
| 1995 | Developed a CNC cutter grinder compatible with Windows NT, which was delivered to HITACHI CABLE, LTD. |
| 1998 | Completed the third-term factory expansion. |
| 1999 | Yasuhiro Ikuta inaugurated as President. Delivered the world's first tandem-type double-side scalping equipment to MINCHALI METAL INDUSTRY COMPANY LTD. of Taiwan. |
| 2000 | Developed a CNC 6-axis control cutter grinder for 1500-mm-wide types, which was delivered to THE FURUKAWA ELECTRIC CO., LTD. Started the production and sale of IKUTA brand Scalping Cutter. |
| 2001 | Advanced to the Chinese market. Established the Shanghai Office. |
| 2002 | Established IKUTA (SUZHOU) PRECISION EQUIPMENT CO., LTD. in Suzhou, China, as a 100% subsidiary to Ikuta. Developed the titanium motherboard buff polishing equipment, which was delivered to NIPPON MINING & METALS CO., LTD. Delivered a plating flow line to First Copper & Iron Industrial of Taiwan. |
| 2003 | Established KUNSHAN IKUTA TRADING CO., LTD. jointly with a Japanese machine trading company. Delivered a slipper line and peripheral equipment to FURUKAWA METAL (WUXI) CO., LTD., which became a foothold to the Chinese market. Delivered a milling line to GUANGZHOU COPPER MATERIALS CO., LTD. jointly with IKUTA (SUZHOU) PRECISION EQUIPMENT CO., LTD. as IKUTA's subsidiary and established the status of the Ikuta brand. Developed deformed-material milling equipment, which was delivered to Beijing Jinying Converge Copper Products Company LTD. |
| 2004 | Delivered a degreasing line for the world's thinnest (6-μm) copper foil. |
| 2005 | Started a processing service of cutting variant material. Delivered to Sunnex Inc. a special leveler dedicated to the disc brakes of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Adopted for the development of a compact vertical-axis aerogenerator in a Kyoto prefectural project. |
| 2006 | Newly developed target motherboard polishing equipment. Succeeded in the development of the world's first world deformed-material leveler. |
| 2007 | Established IKUTA GIKEN (SUZHOU) CO., LTD. as IKUTA’s second subsidiary in Suzhou, China. Delivered a CNC grinder for HALCOR of Greece. Delivered small-diameter slitter equipment to NIKKO WOOJIN PRECISION MANUFACTURING (SUZHOU) CO., LTD. Selected as one of the best 300 small and medium-sized enterprises by the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in 2007. |
